Join the Crowley family and pub historian Dr Tom Spalding in an entertaining and informative illustrated talk on the history of Cork’s pubs. The talk will cover the role of the Murphy’s and Beamish & Crawford breweries, and also of Cork architects and designers in producing the bars we know so well.
This event recounts the history from the period of 1900 to 1970. In the past these talks have been very popular so book soon!
Due to the limited space inside the venue we will be keeping numbers low in accordance with current Covid-19 advice. There will be two public illustrated talks. The first talk will be from 5.30pm to 6.30pm, and the second from 7pm to 8pm. The audience from the first talk will need to vacate the premises by 6.45pm at the latest.
The building is wheelchair accessible, but the lavatory facilities are not currently suitable for wheelchair users
