CUH was the first hospital in Ireland to host a Culture night event entirely ‘As Gaeilge’ in 2017, and based on its huge success with audiences, we will continue the tradition. The theme this year will be the 40th Anniversary of CUH.

Our compare for the event in Irish will be Muireann Ni Chroinin, who works in CUH as a Paediatric Consultant ‘SCRUBS’, CUH choir, will sing a repertoire of Irish Songs especially selected by director Patrick Dalton, such as ‘Oro Se do Bheatha’ & Mo Ghile Mhear. SCRUBS participated in various competitions such as Feis Maitiu, Cork International Choral festival, the 2nd round of Britain’s Got Talent 2017 and the finals of Lyric FM Work Place Choir. Other guests are local Gaelscoil Ui Riada; Haley Griffin on Piano from the CIT school of Music will accompany Alison Long a staff member who will sing As Gaeilge.

There will be a Traditional Irish Music Session, Irish ‘Brush dancing’ & Set dancing & literary renditions. And lots more entertainment. We hope you can join us to celebrate our hospitals 40th birthday.
